Dr. Gharib Library, located at Nemazee Hospital, started its activities simultaneously with the inauguration of the hospital. In the beginning, the library offered services to staff, patients, and patient carers; in addition, it involved only a fiction collection. Currently, with a total area of 600 square meters, the library is placed on the hospital’s first floor. Full around-the-clock library services are now available to the Hospital’s physicians, residents, interns, and other students who are in their clinical phase of study. However, the Hospital’s staff and nurses can access library services if they are officially referred to the library. The library, further, covers a wide range of subjects in medical areas, but upon request, unavailable articles can be purchased and sent to the user’s email. To help the users understand how to properly and more efficiently search the provided databases for their needed information, several workshops are presented throughout each academic year.
