Nutritional science investigates the metabolic and physiological responses of the body to diet. With advances in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, the study of Human nutrition is increasingly concerned with metabolism and metabolic pathways: the sequences of biochemical steps through which substances in living things change from one form to another.
Nutritional Sciences is an interdisciplinary field which combines biosciences and social sciences. This program will help nutritionists make conditions better through developing steady and equal improvement in the food and nutrition system, research and planning by learning nutritional matters and the associated influential causes. This field is comprised of a number of comprehensive and cooperative activities which demand extensive knowledge of physiology, biological aspects, medicine, food and nutrition metabolism and epidemiology on the one hand, and ecologic, cultural, social and economic matters affecting the choice of access to and consumption of foods on the other hand.
