Peer-To-Peer Student Service

Peer Mentoring Program
Navigating university life, especially as an international student, can be challenging. Our Peer Mentoring Program connects incoming students with experienced peers who can offer guidance and support. Mentors provide valuable insights into academic life, campus resources, cultural adjustment, and social opportunities. To ensure the best possible support for our international students, we carefully select mentors from both Iranian and non-Iranian backgrounds. This allows us to offer diverse perspectives and facilitate connections based on shared experiences and cultural understanding. Whether you need help understanding course registration, finding your way around campus, or simply want to connect with someone who understands your unique journey, a peer mentor can be a valuable resource.
Peer Counseling Program
Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to. Our Peer Counseling Program offers a safe and confidential space for students to connect with trained peer counselors. These students are carefully selected and rigorously trained by the university's Counseling and Lifestyle Center, equipping them with the skills to provide supportive listening, offer guidance, and connect you with appropriate resources if needed. Our peer counselors can help you navigate stress, anxiety, adjustment issues, and other common challenges. Remember, seeking support is a sign of strength, and our peer counselors are here to help you thrive.
