Anesthesiology is a branch of medicine that focuses on pain relief during and after surgery. This treatment is called anesthesia. Practitioners of anesthesiology are called anesthesiologists or, in some countries, anesthetists.
Cardiology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the heart be it human or animal. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists, a specialty of internal medicine.
Community Medicine is a new branch of medicine. It is often considered synonymous with Preventive and Social Medicine(PSM) , Public Health, and Community Health. All these share common ground, i.e., prevention of disease and promotion of health. In short, Community Medicine provides comprehensive health services ranging from preventive, promotive, curative to rehabilitative services.
