SUMS Counseling and Lifestyle Center
The SUMS Counseling and Lifestyle Center is one of the units under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student and Cultural Affairs, which has been operating since 1989. The topics addressed by this center include counseling and guidance related to individual issues, interpersonal relationships, family matters, psychological, personality, and social aspects, as well as dormitory interactions and homesickness. Services are provided through personal visits by students.
Responsibilities and Services of the Unit:

Identification and support for vulnerable students (based on academic performance and academic counselor’s reports)

Conducting workshops and educational sessions for students, staff, families, and professors

Lending psychology books to students

Conducting room-to-room visits of the social work office in female dormitories to identify academically and psychologically vulnerable students

Publishing psychological content on Instagram – Instagram account: sums.counseling.center

Daily counseling services in university faculties: An active link to the schedule of counselors' presence in university faculties will be provided.

Identifying students with academic difficulties and holding individual counseling sessions and educational workshops – A link to the schedule of workshops will be provided during the semester. An active link to the workshop schedule will be included.
