M.S. program in Economics encompasses the analysis of the areas of health production, utilization and policy making. In developed and especially English speaking countries usually "Health Economics" reflects such a concept.
In other words Health Economics is concerned with the education and application of tools and concepts from economics field in different areas of health. Among the concerns of the Health Economics are the health market, its evolutions, limitations, available resources, and public health priorities. Health Economics analyzes these health-related phenomena through economic approaches such as resource management optimization, profit maximization, cost minimization, as well as efficiency, equity and quality provision.
